Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me before booking your session or service!

I am Abigail Sylvester, a published and multifaceted photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I focus on capturing unique moments that evoke emotions, transporting viewers back to significant times in their lives.

I focus on documenting natural-light portraits, creative editorial portraits, fashion shows, concerts, and landscape/street photography. I discovered my passion for photography in middle school, and since then, I have learned to draw inspiration from the small moments and significant occasions in life.

Through my work, I aim to capture candid and posed moments that reflect joy, love, genuine connection, and authenticity in the narrative of legacy. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and create unforgettable memories!

I ensure that all my clients feel like the most amazing people on the planet. When you step in front of my camera, you might feel nervous and a bit unnatural at first, but that’s completely normal. Those feelings will fade away before you know it. I will guide you into flattering poses and help you develop a powerful mindset that transcends your session, inspiring you every time you find yourself in front of a camera.

My simple guide to help you feel and look confident on camera.

  1. I ensure we have a well-planned-out session from start to finish. You will receive a session call sheet with information that will help you arrive on the day of your shoot feeling light.
  2. I support and guide you through your wardrobe selections and all the details you will need to arrive prepared. With my connections in the fashion industry, we can make your session even better by having an HMUA on set and on set assistant when requested.
  3. I want you to be sure to stay organized, so I recommend packing for your session the night before and having everything ready 2 hours before you drive to your session.
  4. I recommend not packing your day with anything extraneous on the day of your session. Keep it light and keep it cute. It is important to schedule time off and get some beauty rest those few days before your session.
  5.  Make a playlist of your favorite upbeat songs for your shoot. Listen to it on your way over and share it to play during your session.
  6. Remember, like anything, it takes practice! If you want to feel that extra boost of confidence, spend time in the mirror, ONLY speaking loving, powerful words of affirmation to yourself.
  7. Ex: My favorite is "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139: 13 -14 NIV)
  8. Psalms 139:14 highlights the intricate, unique, and incomprehensible way God designed each person, viewing them as a marvelous creation.
  9. Hydrate a ton and eat breakfast so you have great energy all day long
  10. Don't stress if you wake up with a pimple, I can edit that out!
  11. Everything we do will work out beautifully because the Lord will. I have great faith.
